NEWBURY Building Society is holding an exciting event for local first time buyers as well as those who would like to find out more about helping buyers get their feet on the property ladder.

Newbury Building Society’s professional team will be on hand to give assistance and explain not only the options available to first time buyer, but also to offer guidance on how to make the house-buying process less stressful.

The team from the building society’s Basingstoke branch in Festival Place shopping centre will be able to offer guidance through mortgage requirements, while solicitors from QualitySolicitors Clarke & Son will be on hand to explain how the buying process works as well as what is involved in conveyancing for first-time buyers.

There will be independent information available about the local housing market from Sansome & George estate agents along with information about low deposit schemes from Sentinel Housing Association.

There will also be information about shared ownership and other initiatives designed to help first time buyers, such as the Newbury’s ‘First Step, Next Step’ scheme.

The event is aimed at first time buyer and those who are curious about what is involved in taking the first step to owning a home.

It takes place on Thursday April 11, at The Tea Bar in London Street, in Basingstoke’s Top of The Town, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
