Decison due on new homes at Sirdar Road, Highfield
2:50pm Monday 12th August 2013 in Hampshire Business
PLANS to build two new homes in Southampton will be assessed by a planning panel on August 20.
The city council’s planning and rights of way committee will look at a scheme to build two three-storey buildings at Sirdar Road in Highfield.
The applicant wants to build the four-bedroom, semidetached houses on garden land next to a recently-built six-home development.
Although the plans have been recommended for approval by council officers, the proposals were referred to the panel because several letters of objection have been received.
The seven objectors, who include ward councillor Maureen Turner, say the proposed development will reduce car parking space and overlook neighbouring properties.
