Exporting for Growth
EXPORTING For Growth should prove to be a useful event for local firms looking to win business overseas.
Hosting the event will be Basingstoke MP and Culture Secretary, Maria Miller, who has teamed up with Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, UK Trade and Investment, Enterprise M3 LEP and the Federation of Small Businesses.
Also at the event, aimed at small and medium sized enterprises in the Basingstoke area, will be local businesses with a track record of exporting, who will be on hand to offer advice along with experts from UKTI and Hampshire Chamber.
Chris Quintana, business development manager at Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, based at The Manor House, at Chineham Court Business Park, said: “This is a unique opportunity to hear from Maria Miller on why exporting is so important to the UK economy.
“Businesses will be able to find out more about the comprehensive support that is available through both the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and the UKTI, and at the same time learn from local businesses on how they started exporting, how they accessed new global markets, and how they overcame any challenges along the way.”
The event, which is free and will include a light breakfast, is set to take place at the Basingstoke Country Hotel, on Friday November 22, running from 8am to 10.30am.
To book a place, email firstname.lastname@example.org telling her your company name and address, along with the names of attendees.
