Sales growth for Basingstoke Fire Protection
AN independent fire safety company is celebrating significant sales growth after a series of new contract wins.
Family-run Basingstoke Fire Protection, set up in 1976, has been servicing the needs of businesses across the country, and after securing working capital facilities from The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), it has been focused on further growth this year.
RBS has been working in partnership with the firm since it switched its banking facilities earlier this year.
The RBS team has provided financial expertise and support for the firm’s growth strategy through the provision of increased working capital facilities.
This has enabled Basingstoke Fire Protection to have the platform from which to go out and win new contracts.
Lombard, the asset finance division of the banking group, has also provided financial assistance to support a fleet of new company vehicles.
Company director Mike Foster, based at the IO Centre, in Brunel Road, Houndmills, said: “We are proud of the family heritage behind Basingstoke Fire Protection, and remain true to our roots in Basingstoke, from where we support our ever expanding UK client base.
“We are delighted with the new business and organic growth with our existing clients throughout the UK.
“Our reputation for providing a comprehensive range of fire protection products and services has ensured we have extended our client base nationally and the working capital facilities provided by RBS have helped us to go out and confidently secure new business. We are really happy with RBS and always receive a speedy turnaround to our requests. It’s nice to work with a bank that actually helps – it’s quite novel to us.”
RBS relationship manager Simon Finch, based in the Winchester Street RBS branch, said: “I’ve worked really closely with Basingstoke Fire Protection, who have a fantastic business operation that has posted significant growth after winning further new business.
“I’m delighted to be supporting the business and we have worked in close collaboration to ensure the working capital facilities we have provided are fit for their purpose and able to facilitate future growth.”
