ROBIN Hood and his merry men will be making a surprise move from Sherwood Forest to the New Forest this month.

A children’s film starring Britain’s most famous outlaw will be screened in a state-of-the-art 4D cinema that was opened at Paultons Park, near Ower, last year as the family theme park celebrated its 30th anniversary.

The Robin Hood 4D film is an action-packed family adventure that takes audiences of all ages on a whirlwind journey.

Maid Marion is hurled into a world of excitement as she escapes the evil clutches of the Sheriff of Nottingham and falls for Robin.

Paultons Park – named UK number one in the Traveller’s Choice top ten amusement parks and water parks by TripAdvisor in 2013 – will reopen for the school half-term holiday on February 16.

Guests will be able to enjoy more than 60 rides and attractions, including Peppa Pig World.

They might also get a glimpse of the new Victorian double-decker carousel ride that is due to open to the public at Easter.

A Paultons spokesman said: “Other additions for the 2014 season include the much anticipated Wildwoods restaurant, which will be located in the new welcome building at the entrance of the Park.

“The building will also be home to The Big Toy Shop, a toy land adventure with unique areas for boys and girls of all ages.”
