The Government has aside £140m to help flood-hit communities like Romsey and Winchester
IT was the wet winter that brought Hampshire to a standstill and left homes and businesses flooded.
But there was some relief for those stricken by the devastating torrential rain this year as the Chancellor announced extra cash for repairs.
George Osborne announced that an additional £140m would be made available for repairs and maintenance to flood defences across the country.
And as a result of the severe winter weather, he also revealed an extra £200m would be made available to local authorities to repair potholes.
