AXA Wealth employees, based at the firm’s Basingstoke head office, are gearing up to provide a year of volunteering and fundraising support for Naomi House and Jacksplace.

The hospices, in Sutton Scotney, have been picked by the company’s employees as their chosen charity to support in 2014.

Their efforts will also help to raise funds for Naomi House’s Sibling Support programme. For this, a dedicated sibling support worker helps the brothers and sisters of life-limited children to share their emotions and come to terms with what it means to have a seriously-ill brother or sister.

AXA Wealth chief executive officer Mike Kellard said: “AXA Wealth employees are always very keen to support local charities.

“Our Basingstoke employees always fully embrace fundraising initiatives, and this is a cause that is clearly close to their hearts.

“Last year, they pulled out all the stops and raised money for several charities in every way imaginable including an abseil down our office building. I can’t wait to see what they do this year.”

Chris Robinson, chief executive, said Naomi House and Jacksplace prides itself on working in partnership with its corporate supporters to maximise benefit to both organisations.

He said: “We’re delighted to be working with AXA Wealth and can guarantee a year of enjoyable and successful fundraising.

“AXA Wealth will not only be helping to support our crucial work caring for life-limited and life-threatened children and young people, but it will give its employees something to feel really proud about.”
