CELEBRITY baker, entrepreneur, author and actress Jane Asher paid a visit to Poundland’s Chineham store today.
She was there to launch her new bakeware range at the popular discount retailer at Chineham Shopping Centre, where she chatted with shoppers and signed autographs.
Her bakeware range, which from today is being sold across Poundland’s 500 stores in the UK and Ireland, comprises more than 50 items – all sold for £1 each Jane said: “I’ve loved working with Poundland on this beautiful, pastel-coloured range which includes spatulas, mini scales and cake tins and I’m really delighted with the final result.
“The reaction to the range so far has been phenomenal and I’m planning to add even more to it over the next few months.
Poundland chief executive Jim McCarthy, said: “I‘m delighted that a baker of Jane’s reputation and talent has chosen Poundland as her collaborative partner. “We are incredibly proud of her range and equally excited to be the first discount retailer to launch a celebrity partnership. I have no doubt that this range will inspire a whole new generation of bakers.”
