CHOCOLATE eggs were hidden around Festival Place as the Newbury Building Society held an Easter egg hunt.
Children were given clues to the whereabouts of the eggs from The Breeze Breakfast show presenter Tony James.
Only when the participants had worked out the location of the eggs could they return to the branch at Chelsea House, to collect their prizes.
They were helped in their quest by the mutual building society’s new mascot, Barry Bear, along with one of his friends, the Breeze Bunny.
Basingstoke branch office manager Harriette Lane, was delighted that more than 300 people enjoyed the spectacle.
She said: “This was one of the busiest events we have ever done.
“The feedback we had from the public was amazing, and it was a fantastic way to celebrate Easter.
“The highlight of the day had to be Barry Bear and the Breeze Bunny involved in a dance-off to Saturday Night Fever.”
