WINCHESTER kitchen specialists Bulthaup opened its doors to a Michelin-starred chef last week who took to the worktops to show off his culinary skills.

Mark Jordan, executive chef of Ocean Restaurant at the Atlantic Hotel in Jersey, held an hour-long cook-along at the Broadway showroom on Sunday (May 18) as part of a collaboration between Great British Chefs and Jersey Royal potatoes.

Viewers were encouraged to buy the ingredients beforehand, by the Saturday Morning Kitchen regular, to create the pan-roasted fillet of salmon with marinated Jersey Royals and dill and crab salad via the Jersey Royals Facebook page.

Bulthaup’s Lesley Carr said: “It’s like having a Michelin chef in your kitchen at home. The kitchen in our showroom is a domestic kitchen and everything Mark used was an appliance you could have at home.

“It turns out to be the ideal kitchen for television work with a big island unit allowing chefs to prepare food to camera and lots of natural light due to its position in the showroom window.”

The recipe is currently being edited from the hour-long episode to a four-minute step-by-step video which will be available at bulthaup-winchester.co.uk soon.
