THE final available unit at Boyatt Wood Industrial Estate, Eastleigh, has been let to Charles Kendall Freight.

BNP Paribas Real Estate, acting on behalf of its client Aviva Investors, has struck the deal with Charles Kendall Freight, which offers bespoke supply chain solutions.

The firm has secured unit 7, a 10,576 sq ft warehouse, after signing a 10-year lease with a five-year break clause.

Steve Williams, director of agency at BNP Paribas Real Estate’s Southampton office, said: “It is no surprise that Boyatt Wood Industrial Estate has performed so well, apart from the excellent logistical location, our client has ensured the scheme has been well maintained and as units have become available they have completed a comprehensive, high specification refurbishment. The reward for this investment is a thriving, fully let scheme, establishing new headline rents.

“With good quality industrial space in strong demand and supply limited, we expect to see further rental growth over the coming period,” added Williams.

In 2013, BNP Paribas Real Estate leased unit 3 at Boyatt Wood Industrial Estate to a new business, Direct to Home, which is trading as Jamie at Home, following a full refurbishment.
