LEADING prosthetic maker Blatchford has earned a bronze award from Investors in People.

The company, headquartered on Kingsland Business Park, in Basingstoke, received the award for the way it aligns its mission and core value of putting the patient first as well as having a high level of staff commitment through developing, supporting and motivating their employees.

Stephen Blatchford, chief executive officer at Chas A Blatchford & Sons, which has some 700 employees worldwide, of which around 200 are based in Basingstoke, said: “This is a tremendous achievement for Blatch-ford. We have experienced significant growth over the last few years and the increase in our headcount reflects this.

“To have been able to achieve this recognition, whilst rapidly growing the business, demonstrates how committed all our employees are.”

The company achieved Bronze status by demonstrating 30 addit-ional evidence requirements, over the IIP core standard.

Paul Devoy, head of Investors in People, said: “Achieving the Investors in People Bronze standard is something that any organisation should be truly proud of.

“It is the sign of a company, which is truly committed to good people management practice.”

The Bronze award is achieved by just over five per cent of Investor in People recognised organisations in the UK.
