CAPTAINS of industry can find out more about how to make their business grow in the Indian market and overseas with a brunch next month.

The Ageas Bowl is hosting key speakers with a vast experience of trading in India to share their wisdom at a brunch event at the home of Hampshire cricket two days before the third England-India cricket Test match on Sunday, July 27.

Hampshire Asian Network has organised the event giving businessmen and women who are looking to expand their company overseas the chance to meet others and give advice from 9am.

Chairman of the Hampshire Asian Network, Jojar Singh, said: “The event’s going to be good. The purpose is to attract people to the Ageas Bowl and to highlight the opportunities there are to do business in India and overseas.

“All these associations can assist you if you are thinking or you are already operating your business overseas.”

“It’s good that the Ageas Bowl is taking part, it is good that the Indian cricket team will be in town on the day we hold this event.”

Chief executive of the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, Stewart Dunn, will open the event before a presentation by Mark Baulch, regional co-ordinator for the south east branch of the Overseas Business Networks initiative.

Key speaker Praveen Gupta from the India Advisory Services team at chartered accountancy firm BDO will be joined by Keith Warburton from business support firm Sannam S4.

Mr Gupta and Mr Warburton will give advice on avoiding typical pitfalls, question popular misconceptions and offer the chance to hear first-hand from a local company that is successfully growing its business in India.

They will also look at the impact of the recent Indian elections on the business environment.

Visitors will also have the chance to enjoy a fusion of Indian breakfast cuisine and English brunch menu.
