BASINGSTOKE Golf Club slipped back to the 1950s when Baker Tilly rocked with its summer party.

The firm of chartered accountants and business advisers, which has offices at Springpark House, on Basing View, held its 1950s themed Rock’n’Roll Summer Party with business associates, local professionals and clients.

Many of them donned their best 1950s outfits and dusted off their jive moves, dancing to the Flip Top Floozies band.

Basingstoke office managing partner Mike Blain, said: “It’s been a magical evening. We’ve had a really great turn-out with our wonder 50s theme.

“We’ve held a summer party for at least the last ten years and it is to say thank you to our clients and the intermediaries that we work with.

“It’s something that has gained momentum over the years and it is an important part of our annual events.”

It was the first summer party since Baker Tilly merged with RSM Tenon last year.

“We are now the largest mid tier accountancy firm in Basingstoke and we have seen significant synergies from our business, giving us greater reach both nationally and internationally.”

Upbeat for the business outlook, Mike said: “Baker Tilly is doing really well in Basingstoke and that reflects the improvement we have seen in the economy.”
