ONE lucky shopper at Smithie LED has won a 42-inch Linsar smart television.

Heather Findlater, from Southend Road, in the Brookvale area of Basingstoke, said she was over the moon with her win.

She said: “I hadn’t expected to win – I’ve never won anything.

“Being called Heather you’d think I’d be lucky and this time I am – I am so surprised. We are doing up the house at the moment so it will make a great addition to a newly decorated room.

“I bet my other half will enjoy the TV more watching the World Cup final.”

The brand new Smithie LED Lighting and Electrical appliance Depot, in Morse Road, on the West Ham Industrial Estate, opened for business in May.

During its opening celebrations, the business, which is part of Smithie UK, ran the prize draw for the television worth £500.

As well as offering energy-saving LED lights, Smithie LED is on a money-saving mission with an impressive array of top brand competitively-priced electrical household goods, ranging from widescreen televisions, audio and home entertainment equipment, to kitchen appliances, vacuum cleaners, to ovens and fridges.

Smithie UK marketing manager Laura Rainbird said: “We have been really overwhelmed with the response to this competition and the popularity of our store since opening.

“A big Basingstoke thank you goes to Linsar for providing us with the TV and giving locals the opportunity to win such a great prize.

“We are delighted for Heather.”

Laura added: “If you didn’t win this time, pop into our store to enter – we will be doing another TV giveaway soon.’’
