A UNIQUE new pub venture has opened in Hampshire.

But this is no conversion of a spit and sawdust boozer or trendy wine bar.

The Pub on Wheels does exactly what is says: it drives to places, opens up and serves customers.

The new initiative was launched in Totford near Alresford last weekend but could be available anywhere near you soon.

It has been launched by David Watts, Alex Langlands-Pearse and Charles Butterworth. They plan to have 20 over the next five years.

They are aiming the vehicle at functions, parties, product launches and Christmas parties. It takes two hours to set up.

The launch at the Woolpack Inn at Totford attracted people from across thecountry, interested to see a pub which unfolds, fully equipped, from the back of an old army truck.

The design of each Pub on Wheels was completed by Design Management Partnership, based in South Wales.
