A HAMPSHIRE firm has announced a major new contract to produce a new points card for a supermarket giant.

Universe Group plc, which is based in George Curl Way, Southampton, has reached an agreement to design and build a loyalty platform for Morrisons’ price-match and points card – Match & More.

The development was launched earlier in the year and the bespoke loyalty platform has now been completed across all Morrisons outlets.

Morrisons has superstores in Totton and Gosport, as well as various M Local stores across the county.

The platform will automatically credit Morrisons cardholders with the difference between the chain’s pricematch guarantee, and shoppers can receive a £5 voucher at the till once 5,000 Match & More points are accumulated.

Universe says that the contract represents a significant extension of the firm’s existing contract with the chain and helps support market forecasts for the firm’s financial year and beyond.

HTEC, a subsidiary of the Universe Group plc, developed the loyalty platform and will provide ongoing technology, hosting and maintenance support.
