A HAMPSHIRE auditing and tax firm has invested in a new office to capitalise on the “vibrant marketplace”.

KPMG, which already has an office at Dukes Keep in Southampton, has now taken over the third floor of Gateway House, situated next to the M3 and M27 junction.

Work will now begin to fit out the 12,000 sq ft space, which will include a suite of rooms that businesses can drop in and use.

Will Smith, office senior partner for KPMG on the south coast, said: “Our business has grown ten per cent year on year and I am pleased that we are now investing in a new property.

“Our new offices will offer the best environment possible to our staff and our clients.

“We work with businesses across the south coast and chose Gateway House for its fantastic transport links. Its location next to the M3 and M27 makes it an ideal base for us to reach our clients, both in Southampton and across the south coast, and for the local business community to drop in between meetings and make calls or clear emails.”

The company has had office space on the south coast since 1974 and works with a range of businesses, from family-owned and private equity-backed businesses through to AIM-listed and FTSE 250 companies in Hampshire and Dorset.

It aims to seek out and highlight the best business talent the region has to offer.
