Southampton’s Town Quay Marina has been classed as one of the best in the country, having been named a runner-up at this year’s coveted Which Marina? Marina of the Year Awards.

Launched in 2013 by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) the award was open to all ‘Gold Anch-or’ accredited marinas and aims to reward the best marinas in the country and helps to improve standards, ensuring people can enjoy boating wherever they go.

Katherine Prescott, acting Town Quay manager, said: “The team at ABP Town Quay Southampton is delighted to be runner-up in the Marina of the Year Awards 2015.

“Considerable investment has been made over the past few years to improve the facilities at Town Quay and we continually strive to improve service and to give our berth holders and visitors a special place to keep their pride and joy.”

Substantial investment in Town Quay Marina over recent years has seen berth holders and visitors benefit from a marina dredge, new shower and laundry facilities, a new wave break and gangway, new water and shore power systems on the pontoons and for annual berth holders a private decked balcony overlooking the marina.
