WINCHESTER was positively stress-free when two nutritional specialists held a talk at the Guildhall.

Residents turned out to hear Patrick Holford, a leading spokesman on nutrition, and health journalist Susannah Lawson talk about practical tools for relieving stress.

In line with the launch of their new book, The Stress Cure, they were on hand to give useful advice for resolving stressful situations, the right food and the secret to sleeping well, at the event two weeks ago.

The book aims to help people limit their stress-related responses, to dispel negative beliefs and improve their time management in order to feel more relaxed.

Mr Holford is also the founder of the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in London and has written more than 30 health books including The 10 Secrets of Healthy Ageing and Balance Your Hormones.

Ms Lawson is a member of the British Association for Nutritional Therapists and The Stress Cure is her fourth book she has jointly written with Mr Holford.
