MERCEDES Benz of Basingstoke played host to a Pure Networking event, organised by Hampshire Chamber of Commerce.

The facilitated networking was organised by membership manager David Kemshall, held at the Sandown dealership’s showroom just off the Houndmills Roundabout.

Pleased with the turnout of around 30 people from a broad spectrum of businesses, from HR specialists to balloon makers, David said: “It took a lot of planning and hard work to get the event together but it was well worth it.

“The venue was perfect. Everyone had a good look around the cars and we made full use of the space provided by Sandown. “We started the evening off by firing up a high powered Mercedes C63 which got everybody's attention, the other fun elements about the evening being the quiz, the car for the weekend prize draw and the elevator pitches just shows you that networking doesn't have to be boring. David added: “At Hampshire Chamber of Commerce we like to make our members feel connected and know that north Hampshire is a fantastic place to do business.”

Equally pleased with the evening was Stuart Head, Sandown group head of fleet sales.

He took the opportunity to talk about Sandown and the Mercedes Benz brand, highlighting some innovations made in recent years such as remote parking, which Stuart describes as the “ultimate boys’ toy,” along with collision assist, intelligent light systems, lane keeping assist and hybrid technology.

He said: “The Mercedes Benz motto is the best or nothing.

“At Sandown out fleet team is one of the best in the country and we are here to help and advice you and your company.”

He spoke of tailored fleet packages and company discount incentives along with 24 hour test drives.
