A PUBLIC inquiry starts on Monday over the future of public open space at Kings Worthy.
Villagers are resisting developers by trying to have Top Field declared a village green and so protected from development.
The application is being made by Top Field Action Group and Mary Mould and is being opposed by developers Drew Smith.
The hearing will be held at Sparsholt College starting at 10am.
