Gordon Sutter has been appointed the new editor of the Southern Daily Echo.
The role will also include being editor of the Echo's sister titles, the Hampshire Chronicle and Romsey Advertiser and their related websites as well as a portfolio of free newspapers magazines and specials.
Gordon, 49, has spent more than 30 years working in the regional press.
He started his career with the Buxton Advertiser in Derbyshire and then joined the Press and Journal in Aberdeen before moving to the Daily Echo’s sister paper in Bournemouth.
Gordon then joined the Southern Daily Echo where he has spent the last 20 years working as news editor and head of content.
