A CARE provider has introduced a new “refer-a-friend” scheme to get more staff into the industry.

Bluebird Care Hook, which provides home and live-in care across Hart and Basingstoke and Deane is encouraging its existing care staff to refer a friend.

Those that do so receive payment of £500, if the individual they have referred successfully completes their three-month probation period with the company.

Nikki Champion was the first to receive the award after referring her friend, Abbie Slingo – who has just completed her first three months as a care assistant.

Phil Miles, managing director of Bluebird Care, said: “Employing committed and passionate care assistants has been a huge part of our success in recent years.

“We will only ever be as good as the staff we employ and our staff are outstanding. They are always professional and have real empathy for the people they look after.”

“It’s because of this that we launched our £500 Refer-a-Friend scheme. Investing in excellent quality, hardworking staff is absolutely essential to everything that we do.

Bluebird Care provides care and support to older people and adults with physical disabilities and learning difficulties.
