A SPECIAL showcase will display what apprentices can experience while learning at the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE).
The award-winning AWE Skills Academy is offering an insight into its apprenticeships programme for young people considering this route into a career.
Young people will be able see the skill areas offered by the academy, including some of the newer qualifications such as those in supply chain and human resources, as well as the traditional science and engineering-focused training.
Marcus Hutchings, head of the AWE Skills Academy, said: “We look forward to welcoming young and not so young people who want to find out more about the variety of opportunities we offer.
“These include electrical; electronics; control and instrumentation; precision machining; mechanical maintenance; human resources; laboratory technician; health physics; process operations; finance; project controls; supply chain management, high-performance computing and IT and quality inspection.”
The event will take place at the Aldermaston Recreational Society building on Tuesday, 21 November from noon to 7pm and Wednesday, 22 November from 8am to noon.
