LifeCare Residences (“LCR”), the international retirement village operator, has appointed David Knight as the new general manager of Grove Place in Nursling.

David joins from Elmers Court Hotel and Resort, part of the Macdonald Hotels group, on the outskirts of Lymington.

As resort general manager, David oversaw all aspects of operations across the 42 rooms, 54 timeshare accommodation units and 750-member leisure club and spa, placing great emphasis on guest experience and customer service.

Prior to joining Elmers Court, David spent two years as general manager of Audleys Wood Hotel, part of the Hand Picked Hotels Group, in Basingstoke.

David said: “Grove Place has set a new standard for retirement communities across Hampshire and the south east, and it’s a privilege to join a company that invests in delivering high quality care and service throughout. With over a decade spent working at a senior level in the hospitality sector, guest experience is of the utmost importance to me, and I am enjoying getting to know all of the residents at Grove Place, working closely with them to ensure that they enjoy an enriched quality of life and calibre of care.
