September saw Andover Women in Business Club's annual meeting at the Red Lion in Clanville.

Liz Scrace, the outgoing president, looked back at events over the past 12 months.

During it the committee had reviewed club procedures and initiated new ideas to ensure the club began its 16th year with continued relevance to today's businesswomen. As usual with a large number of people, not all members agreed with everything that had been tried. However the general consensus, backed up by the number of new members, was this had been achieved.

She then formally handed over the president's badge of office to Caroline Gilham. Caroline has been a member of AWIBC since its inception and was also a member of the original steering committee. She gave a brief introductory speech before handing over to the speaker Vera Hughes, who gave a very entertaining talk on body language.

Vera gave members valuable insights into what theymay be doing wrong or giving away with their body language and also how to improve it! The exercises she had members taking part in were particularly informative and fun.

Andover Women in Business Club's next meeting will be on 7 October at the Bourne Valley Inn when the speaker will be Martin Simmons from Andover College.
