ANDOVER-based distribution company, Air Sea Logistics Ltd, has introduced a new tool to manage and monitor health and safety across its express delivery operations.
As a member of Palletways, Europe’s largest express delivery network for small consignments of palletised freight, Air Sea Logistics has reinforced its commitment to the highest levels of health and safety with the installation of a risk management system.
A first for the pallet network industry, it is designed to promote safe working practices and minimise the occurrence and potential severity of accidents and incidents in the work place.
Key features of the new system include risk assessment tools and access to a comprehensive risk assessment library and industry best practice and safe working practice guides; an accident/ incident recording and reporting system; an integrated task/responsibility allocation system; and instant report generation for management analysis and assessment purposes Malcolm Francis, principal of Air Sea Logistics, said: “Continuous enhancement of our health and safety processes is critical to the ongoing success of our business and means our customers can rest assured they are putting their business in safe hands.”
