The November ‘Netwo-rking’ evening held in the Keystone Hall on 4 November was attended by over 25 women from the local business community.

In addition to the numerous guests the newest member was welcomed to the event which began with a meal with a Bonfire Night flavour.

Members and guests were reminded about the forthcoming Christmas party to be held at the Red Lion, Clanville on 2 December and entitled Ladies in Red.

There followed brief presentations and introductions by nine members and guests highlighting their various businesses including acupuncture, accou-ntancy, beauty therapy, Christmas puddings for charity, commercial insurance, dress exchange, Enham Industries, Nail Technician & Cosmetics, Utility Warehouse and lastly but by no means least wedding accessories.

Brenda Locke informed the meeting of the Test Valley Business Awards, and the fact that there are several categories that would apply to most members and encouraged them to apply before the ‘early’ application closing date.

Around the hall there were tables displaying further services and businesses including cosmetics, craft work, florists, solicitors and watercolour paintings.

A floral demonstration was given by Hannah Walker of First Impre-ssions with the theme of bonfires and fireworks.

Everyone was inspired and impressed with the resulting explosive arran-gement which was donated to Enham Industries and received by Tessa Mak-epeace.
