SELLING property to an investor is one of the easiest and quickest solutions for sellers, according to estate and letting agency Romans.

Ricky Bhurji, investment portfolio manager at Romans, said over 840 of the landlords registered with Romans are actively looking to purchase investment properties across north Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey and south Oxfordshire.

“Locally, the investment market has increased dramatically,” said Ricky.

“We’re receiving enquires from investors on a daily basis, specifically looking for one, two and three bedroom properties in good locations.

“Property investors are in a great position to buy quickly as they tend to be cash buyers and they’re chain free.”

More investors are recognising the opportunities available to start or even expand their portfolios now as rents rise and tenants continue to move away from London into more affordable areas in the South East due to the London ripple effect.

As the demand from tenants increases, rental prices are going up and investors are making decisions even quicker, giving sellers the certainty of a sale.

Commenting on the latest MMR reforms which are slowing down the speed at which many people are securing mortgages, Bhurji said: “Fortunately, these reforms don’t affect buy-to-let investors, so if you’re looking for a faster sale, selling to an investor might be the best option.”
