BCOT has responded to the ever-increasing health, safety and environmental demands that are being placed on construction companies.
The college is continuing to provide the NEBOSH construction certificate and the NEBOSH general certificate to a wide variety of construction personnel.
The updated NEBOSH construction certificate provides employees in the construction industry with the essential knowledge required to enable them to take an active part in the management of health and safety in their workplace.
The lead tutor for the course is a highly-motivated customer-focused chartered health, safety and environmental civil engineering professional.
The tutor has extensive experience of construction and civil engineering and the practical application of health, safety and environmental management, and its integration into construction, design and management-related projects.
The NEBOSH general certificate provides a sound introduction to the basis of occupational health and safety. It looks at the management of health and safety and a wide variety of workplace hazards.
BCOT benefits from having its own dedicated construction department, which can be used during the course for practical demonstrations.
By taking this approach, the college is able to expose candidates to modern working environments, where realistic hazards and risks can be demonstrated and experienced by attendees in a controlled way, which does not expose them to any uncontrolled harm.
The NEBOSH construction certificate will commence on September 2 and run every Tuesday thereafter for 14 weeks.
The NEBOSH general certificate will commence on September 1 and run every Monday thereafter for a total of 12 weeks.
