| BCOT is offering a variety of training courses in health and safety to suit all types of businesses |
MORE THAN 200 people are killed at work in the United Kingdom each year - a statistic that does not include work-related road deaths.
In 2006, according to the Health and Safety Executive, some 30 million working days were lost in the UK to occupational ill health and injury, imposing an annual cost to society of £30billion, more than three per cent of GDP.
Basingstoke College of Technology has many years' experience in the field of health and safety training, and currently delivers a range of courses for organisations and individuals at all levels.
This expertise covers areas such as health and safety, fire training, construction and industrial, environmental and engineering.
BCOT offers Level 3 and 4 NVQ occupational health and safety practice.
These qualifications are about the support and development of good practice and the awareness of all aspects of health and safety in the workplace - the identification, control and monitoring of workplace hazards and risks.
Promoting the health and safety culture within the workplace is also addressed in this qualification.
Addressing health and safety should not be viewed as a regulatory inconvenience as educating and training staff offers significant benefits, not only staff safety, but to the organisation as a whole.
Whatever your development needs, BCOT's dedicated team of health and safety trainers can offer expertise across a diverse range of businesses, and will help you to design a training programme appropriate to your organisation.
