Engine Break, The Salberg, Salisbury

ENGINE Break, a great new play from The Plasticine Men about India, advertising and cars, is coming to The Salberg in May.

The English and Indian skeleton crew of a crumbling advertising agency prepare their final pitch: for a global car campaign to end all car campaigns.

Original music mixing East and West joins a symphony of car horns and slogans as they brainstorm their way through traffic. ‘The Relentless Pursuit of Perfection. Motion and Emotion. Don’t Dream It, Drive It…’ A gleaming SUV looms large on a billboard above the gridlock, gliding around the bends of an empty and endless mountain highway.

Belt up for a pedal-to-the-metal road trip navigating questions of growth and progress, and the dreams that connect us.

The Plasticine Men return to The Salberg following the success of the dreamlike There Shall Be Fireworks. Engine Brake runs from Thursday 17 to Saturday 19 May.
