6 SEPTEMBER: London Welsh Male Voice Choir, in aid of National Trust Stourhead, at the Salisbury City Hall, at 7pm.

7 SEPTEMBER: Grand Autumn Plant and Gift Fair, in aid of the North Hampshire Medical Fund (for equipment for Basingstoke Hospital, at Longstock Park Nursery, near Stockbridge, from 10am to 4pm.

7 SEPTEMBER: Test Valley Brass Concert, at The Lights, Andover, at 7.30pm.

8 and 10 SEPTEMBER: National Lipreading Awareness Week — an opportunity to try a ‘taster session’ with a view to joining free lipreading classes, organised by Andover Lipreaders, at the Andover Library, Chantry Centre, Andover, from 10am to 11am.

13 SEPTEMBER: Ducis and Everleigh Village Show, in aid of Wiltshire Air Ambulance, The Link, the local church and clubs and societies, with donkey derby, pipers from 19 Regiment Royal Artillery, sideshows, stalls, trade stands, children’s activities, cream teas and flower and produce show, at the Village Hall and Recreation Ground, from 12.30pm to 5pm.

13 and 14 SEPTEMBER: Flower Festival with the theme ‘Saints and Angels’, at St Michael and All Angels’ Church, Colebrook Way, Andover. Saturday from 10,30am to 4.30pm and Sunday from noon to 4.30pm. Refreshments available.

14 SEPTEMBER: Weyhill Church Fete and Fun Dog Show, in aid of St Michael and All Angels Church, Weyhill, at the back of the Weyhill Fair pub, from 1pm to 4pm.

16 — 20 SEPTEMBER: Romsey Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society presents Noel Coward’s Private Lives, at the Plaza Theatre, Romsey, at 7.30pm.

18 SEPTEMBER: Weyhill Electronic Organ Society presents David Last, at The Fairground Hall, Weyhill, at 7.30pm. Tickets: 01264 323213.

25 SEPTEMBER: Andover Music Club presents the London Concertante, at The Lights, Andover, at 7.30pm.

27 SEPTEMBER: World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, at the Wallops Parish Hall, Middle Wallop, from 10am to 5pm.

18 OCTOBER: Fluffy Pink Pig Race Night, organisewd by Andover & District Lions Club, at the Fairground Hall, Weymill, with six races, spirit draws, raffle and ploughman’s supper, from 7pm to 11pm. BYO (no drinks supplied).

24 OCTOBER: Full of Life Event — Securing the Grey Vote, at The Lights, Andover, from 11am to 2pm.

5 NOVEMBER: Broughton Fireworks, in aid of local charities and organisations, starting from The Square with a children’s torch procession to the sports field, at 6.30pm. Bonfire lit at 6.45pm. Fireworks at 7.30pm. Refreshments, hot food and bar. Tickets: West View Stores or at the gate.
