2 and 3 MAY: Unity Christian Theatre presents Peter’s Rock — A Musical, in aid of Naomi House and Jacksplace, at The Lights, Andover. Saturday at 7.30pm and Sunday at 2.30pm.

3 — 5 MAY: Bank Holiday Steaming at Croften Beam Engines, near Marlborough, from 10.30am to 4.30pm. U16s free. Licensed cafe.

4 MAY: May Day Fayre, in aid of the PTA and at Appleshaw’s St Peter’s C of E Primary School, Ragged Appleshaw, with stalls, refreshments, games, entertainment and the grand opening of their Yurt, from noon to 3pm.

4 MAY: Wherwell Playing Fields Sorts and Fete, at the Playing Fields, Longparish Road, Wherwell, with an emphasis on children’s races together with an activity marquee, bouncy castle, stalls, sideshows, grand draw, bar, refreshments, hot dogs and jazz band, from noon to 4pm.

9 MAY: May Fayre, in aid of and at Longparish Primary School, with bouncy castles, candy floss, barbecue, Test Valley Brass Band, grand raffle and the usual stalls, from noon to 3pm.

9 MAY: Andover Choral Society presents Carmen, at The Lights, Andover, at 7.30pm.

12 — 16 MAY: Basingstoke Amateur Theatrical Society presents Sister Act, at The Haymarket, Basingstoke, at 7.30pm. Matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm.

13 — 16 MAY: Winchester Musicals and Operatic Society presents The Witches of Eastwick, at the Theatre Royal, Winchester, at 7.30pm. Matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm.

14 — 16 MAY: Romsey Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society presents The Last Five Years, at the Plaza Theatre, Romsey, at 7.30pm.

15 — 16 MAY: Penton Players presents Penton’s Heroes, at the Penton Village Hall, Penton Mewsey, at 8pm. Matinee on Saturday at 2pm. A lively community play specially adapted and professionally directed, to commemorate those men from the Pentons whose names are inscribed on the Great War memorial in the church. 17 MAY: SAMS Ride, a cycle sportive with 20, 50 100 mile routes, in aid of the Salisbury and District Samaritans, at Snoddington Manor, Tidworth, from 8am to 4pm.
