Andover East neighbourhood policing team

I have been serving in Hampshire Constabulary for 11 years. I have worked in a number of roles and locations across Hampshire but the majority of my time within the police has been as part of a Neighbourhood Team. I am currently the Neighbourhood Sergeant for the Rural district of Test Valley.

About this neighbourhood

Harewood covers a number of villages to the East of Andover. It has the busy A303 running through it a large area of forest. It is mainly open rural countryside used for farming and recreational activity. It has a number of primary schools around the beat. It also covers some land owned by the Ministry of Defence.

There are a small number of industrial units in this beat.

The main policing issues for the community are thefts from farms, such as equipment and red diesel. the rural make up of the area attracts some poaching.

It has a 1 dedicated PCSO.

The force responsible for policing and crime prevention in this area is Hampshire Constabulary.
