PEOPLE can find out more about proposals for a wind farm near Whitchurch.

EDF Energy Renewables – the company behind the Bullington Cross plans – will host two public exhibitions this month to update residents about its investigation.

These will be held at Whitchurch Parish Hall on Friday, 16 November, from 12.30pm to 8pm, and at Victoria Hall, in Sutton Scotney, on Saturday, 17 November, from 11am to 5pm.

The exhibitions will enable residents to meet with members of the project team who will be available to provide details of the environmental and technical work undertaken on site in recent months, answer any questions and provide details of what happens next.

EDF Energy Renewables will also have special 3D visualisation software available to show how the wind farm would look from the surrounding area Darren Cuming, onshore wind development manager at EDF Energy Renewables, said: “The events in November will enable us to let members of the public know how the investigation for the proposed wind farm is going.

“We have consulted with the public and local stakeholders and taken on board their views and opinions. At the exhibitions we will be updating them on the work carried out so far on site and will be able to provide details of what happens next as we take the proposal forward.

“We’re committed to keeping local people updated on our proposal and these events have been organised into the evening and during the weekend so that anyone who wants to come to talk to us should have an opportunity to do so.”

Earlier this year, EDF Energy Renewables announced plans to investigate potential for the 17- turbine wind farm.

Updates for the proposed wind farm and details of the proposals will be posted at bullingtoncrosswindfarm.
