AN ANDOVER poet handed over £1,000 to a local charity.
The presentation happened at a quiz evening in the Royal Oak, in Goodworth Clatford, where author Bobbie Coelho handed the money to the Parkinson’s UK regional fundraiser Nick Posford.
The funds were raised through the sales of Bobbie’s book of poems Finding the Light and fundraising quiz evenings at the pub, which were put on with the help of landlord Mike Lawton.
Parkinson’s is the house charity at the Royal Oak, which has raised more than £6,000 over the past two years.
