TEST Valley Brass played a major role in Remembrance Day services in Andover and Overton.
The senior band performed at the cenotaph in Andover and the youth band led the service at St Mary’s Church in Overton, performing the national anthem, three hymns and a mini concert.
Youth band conductor Alec Grimsey said: “Test Valley Brass are an incredible organisation of immense talent and depth that not only value their role in the community but also the importance of taking part in events such as today.
Peter Heslop, chairman of Test Valley Brass said: “As a band we feel very much part of Andover and the surrounding area and are always supported by the town and its people and this is a way we give a little back, even if only in a small way.”
David Hodgson, the musical director from St Mary’s Overton said: “The Test Valley Brass Youth Band really does add to our service in an enormous way. This is the third year they have been with us and they just get better and better. We really can’t believe how good they are.”
