A PRESENTATION on the success of the Diamond Jubilee and Olympics and how to keep that legacy alive through 2013 will be on the agenda at the next Tidworth Area Board.

The meeting at Phoenix Hall in Netheravon on Monday, November 19, will look back at how the key events of the year brought communities together to celebrate and how they can continue to work together to keep that spirit alive.

There will be a presentation on the Community First Good Neighbour Scheme, which is due to roll out across Tidworth, and an update on the progress of the proposed Tidworth Community Campus.

Grant applications include a request for £900 from Ordnance House Young People’s Group – the organisation which provides Army families with learning opportunities. The Tidworth Community Area Partnership (TCAP) is also requesting £500 to transport young people from Army and civilian families to an annual Christmas Band Concert.

Chris Williams, chair of Tidworth Community Area Board said: “There are lots of exciting developments which impact on our local communities and I hope people will come along, listen and contribute to the discussion.”

The meeting will start at 7pm but there will be refreshments available from 6:30pm.
