ANDOVER Army Cadets based at HQ Army in Monxton Road enjoyed a weekend of cadet training at Longmoor Camp.

The cadets got the opportunity to participate in activities including shooting, night navigations, radio operating, first aid, an obstacle course and field craft training.

The training weekend is used to test the cadets on their subject knowledge, following up from lessons that are taught at the detachment locations.

The weekends also allow the cadets to make new friends and work with the other cadets from across the company.

Final parade saw a record-breaking amount of badges presented which is an accolade to all the hard work put in by the cadets and adult volunteers.

Not only were star badges presented, but 12 cadets were also presented with their Bronze DofE Badges and three cadets presented their Silver.

A total of eight cadets were also promoted on final parade.
