HAMPSHIRE Constabulary has finalised negotiations with Hampshire County Council to purchase Mottisfont Court, in Winchester, as its new headquarters.
The purchase of Mottisfont Court, for £1.5m, was completed on Monday following exchange of contracts on Friday, 9 November.
In a statement the Force said: “The purchase is the first significant acquisition of the Force’s Estate Development Programme (EDP), which aims to provide modern and appropriate facilities to fit the current and future policing needs, while providing the best possible service to the public and achieving value for money.”
The refurbishment of Mottis-font Court is due to start in 2013 and should be completed and ready for occupation by up to 200 HQ staff by the end of 2013.
