MEMBERS of the 4th Andover (Clatfords) Cub pack are a step closer to obtaining their global challenge badge after a fundraising event at Goodworth Clatford Hut at the weekend.
They staged a tabletop sale which almost achieved its target despite the poor weather.
Pack member Jessica Cousins said: “We were doing this as part of our global challenge badge and to raise funds to build proper toilets in Third World countries.
“We raised £228, which is enough to build three toilets, but we did not quite get to our target of £240, which would have let us build a whole toilet block.
“We are very pleased with the money we did raise and we would like to thank all the people that helped us raise this money.”
