AN Andover home could be converted into a new dental practice, if planning permission is approved.
An application has been made to Test Valley Borough Council for planning permission to turn a house in Charlton Road into a dental practice.
The plans include the provision of an area of hard standing for parking, a lobby at the back, a fire door to the front, a roof light window within the roof space for an office, covered bin storage and cycle storage.
The application will come in front of the Northern Area Planning Committee on Thursday, 6 December, where officers have recommended it for approval. Conditions to the planning permission would include that the development begins within three years.
A supporting statement from the applicant states: “Andover is presently underprovided with dental practices.
“The population of Test Valley is estimated at 114,101 and is expected to rise by four per cent by 2016 (Test Valley Borough Profile 2012).
“Andover town has a population of, in the order of 52,000 and this too is expected to increase.
“There are 34 registered dentists within Andover (General Dental Council 2012), giving a ratio of 1,529 persons per dentist.”
