CHRISTMAS arrived at Ludgershall and Overton over the weekend.

Both Ludgershall and Overton’s festive lights were switched on, with residents gathering to soak up the Christmas atmosphere.

In Overton, Gerald Jones brought along his donkey for the late-night shopping on Friday, (30) with Father Christmas making a grand appearance in a fire engine.

Crowds were entertained by carol singers and stalls sold home-made goods.

In Ludgershall, residents enjoyed a hog roast and sweets, sold by local traders, and Father Christmas took time to speak to the town’s boys and girls on Saturday in his grotto.

The festivities took place in Ludgershall Memorial Hall.
