THERE will be a Hampshire Farmers’ Market in Andover High Street on Sunday (16 December ) from 10am until 2pm. “It offers an ideal opportunity to order the Christmas turkey, hams and gammons,” said Alex Handford of Hampshire Farmers’ Markets.

“For shoppers wanting to try something a little different during the festive period and with the game season well under way there are a wide variety of game products available, all from within Hampshire, such as venison steaks, oven ready pheasant and partridge. “Whole fresh or smoked trout is a wonderful alternative with vegetables or a winter salad.

“Also available will be range of local produce including award winning sausages, preserves, sauces and warming soups, free-range meat and eggs, a variety of cheeses, fresh and smoked fish, wines and ales, cider, freshly baked bread, cakes and desserts, seasonal vegetables and many ideas for Christmas gifts. “Many producers will be offering lots of special offers on a whole range of produce and products and often offer tasters to try before you buy.

“The Test Valley Brass Band will be adding to the festival feel of the market with carols and festive tunes for all to enjoy.”
