A leading housebuilder has ensured residents at its development in Andover are in for a festive feast with a donation towards the community’s get-together.

Persimmon Homes has funded the refreshments for the Picket Twenty residents’ get-together tonight, as well as supplying materials for Christmas card making and face painting at the event.

Rob Allen, sales director for Persimmon Homes South Coast, said: “Picket Twenty is very much a ‘community under construction’, and we are pleased to support initiatives like this, organised by Community Development Worker Sharon Goodridge, which allow people to meet their new neighbours.

“Our sales advisor Dawn Brooks will also be at the event, helping with the activities. “This is a unique development, which will ultimately include around 1,200 new homes together with substantial leisure facilities and an adjacent urban park.

“When complete the site will also have a new school, nursery and shops as well as a permanent community centre. Until that is ready we have provided a temporary centre, which is already becoming a focal point for local activities such as this residents’ get-together.”

The event takes place tonight (20 December) from 5pm to 7pm.

Picket Twenty, on the outskirts of Andover, offers a wide range of properties, from one bedroom flats to five bedroom houses. To find out more visit www.persimmonhomes.com
