On Friday 14th December the Band of the Army Air Corps, the Band of the Prince of Wales's Division and the Middle Wallop Military Wives Choir combined their significant musical forces to perform a Christmas Concert in the Museum of Army Flying, Middle Wallop. It was 'standing room only' as a large audience battled through atrocious weather conditions to support the bands and choir in their efforts to raise funds for two service charities.

The programme included traditional Christmas items from the band and carols and unaccompanied items from the choir who were expertly led by their musical director Fiona Clarke. Andover resident Warrant Officer Class Two Gary Chilton, a member of the vocal group 'The Soldiers', joined with choir and band for a festive rendition of 'Baby it's Cold Outside' and the premiere of a work composed specifically for the band, choir and Mr Chilton entitled 'I'll Wait For You Once More'. The piece was written by the Director of Music of the Band, Captain Mick Walters and left not a dry eye in the house.

"It was a genuine pleasure to perform with such a talented and dedicated group like the Middle Wallop Military Wives Choir. They epitomise the spirit and resolve of family life in the services and it is heartwarming to see so many of our 'better halves' enjoying themselves in this way".
