A LORRY overturned near Leckford Estate, in Stockbridge, spilling 100 litres of fuel.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service were called at 11.56am today (7) after the small lorry carrying 8,000 litres of liquid sewerage overturned.
The crew – which included pumps from Andover, Stockbridge and Eastleigh - used containers to collect the leaking diesel to prevent it landing on the road surface and entering the street’s drains.
The driver was transported to hospital by South Central Ambulance Service while the road remained closed for most of the day.
