THE Bramwell Pub Company is spending £76,000 on a major refurbishment of the Redbridge in the centre of Andover.

The Redbridge will close after trading on Saturday 12 January and will reopen to the public from 5pm on Friday 18 January. The team will celebrate their refurbishment with a VIP party from 5-8pm on Wednesday 23 January where they will be putting on live entertainment as well as inviting the Mayor of Test Valley Borough Council, Councillor Dorothy Baverstock to officially reopen the pub.

Already, work has begun on the Redbridge to implement new external signage and a contemporary colour scheme in keeping with the town’s surroundings. The major refurbishment will take place once the pub has closed and includes changing the layout of the pub to create a lobby area at the front of the building to make it cosier and more inviting. A new colour scheme to lighten and brighten the pub and new dining area with the installation of circular booths will also be introduced as part of the investment.

The Redbridge will be extending its cask ale offer from three to six cask ales where they’ll be listing beers from local breweries such as the Andwell Brewing Company who are based in Basingstoke..
